limiting factors

Limiting factors can affect population growth and capacity in many ways. In Sequoia National Park, there are several factors that limit the number of organisms in the ecosystem.

Predation

Predation is a large factor for small animals in Sequoia. For the animals such as mice and squirrels, they are in danger because predators can easily snatch them up as prey and eat them. As for the large animals, like bears and mountain lions, they have not really any worry about being eaten by others.

Space

As Sequoia is a national park, space for animals may be limited due to things such as trails for people to walk on. The park can't be full of animals, because then people would not be able to go in it. There is a fight for space in Sequoia with all of those organisms in there.
