changes in the environment

Since Sequoia is a national park, one major environmental change that occured in Sequoia is the presence of humans in the environment.

With humans coming into this environment and building a national park, some homes and shelters got destroyed. With the building of trails and rocks, the soil got moved to different areas, causing some plants and animals to move to those areas as well.

Human organisms can also disrupt the animals in the park, such as ones that live in or close to the ground. Us humans can accidentally step on a shelter of an organism such as a mouse or a fox.

Although the building of the park is not necessarily bad, it has made a major change on the environment of Sequoia many years ago when it was built.
